Previously held Wellness Workshops :
Spring into Summer –
Three half day workshops, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm; Come enjoy a half day retreat set in a beautiful, pastoral setting. Each day, we explore
different combinations of exercises including yoga, stretch, Pilates, Nia® followed by discussion, relaxation and tea. Next, a guest presenter provides insight into a new practice that we may not be familiar with: the first guest presentation. "Belly Blessing", demonstrates how belly dance offers us much more than fun, physical exercise and fantasy. In fact, women everywhere report their interest and experience with the dance has made a powerful difference in their lives for mental, physical, psychic and spiritual healing. On the second day, "Find your Life's Passion", facilitated by Life Coach Clare Harlow, will show how an individual can make choices and pursue new directions that are in sync with their personality and lifestyle. On the third day, a Feng Shui expert will discuss the Chinese Art of Placement, and how Feng Shui can bring balance and serenity into one's life (health, wealth, family, relationships, career, friends, fame, children, and knowledge) by recognizing blockages and finding ways to alleviate them. Each day's workshop will end with a nutritious homemade lunch served on the patio, weather permitting.
Body, Mind and Spirit – Half day workshop, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm; The stressful world we live in interferes with our ability to reinforce healthy habits in our lives.This workshop leads participants through a series of yoga, Pilates and stretching moves to energize and release tension in the
body. Then, guided imagery exercises calm the mind, allowing the spirit to relax. The last session is a discussion on self care including dressing for your personal style and enhancing self image with a professional consultation. The workshop ends with a nutritious, catered lunch.
Inside and Out – Half day workshop, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm; This workshop provides an opportunity to take an honest look at how we care for ourselves, and find ways to improve and enhance what we do to keep ourselves healthy. The first session integrates yoga, Pilates and gentle cardiovascular movement to relax the spine and improve core strength. Then, a professional holistic skincare expert evalaluates your skin type and recommend techniques for improving and caring for your skin. During the final session, a nutrition expert from a local health food store presents a discussion on “Foods to Keep Us Sassy, Sexy, Healthy and Wise.” The workshop ends with a healthy, catered lunch including the foods discussed.
Nurturing the Creative Self – Half day workshop, 9:00am to 1:00 pm; By opening up the pathways to our right brain, our creative juices are allowed to flow more freely and with joy. This workshop integrates creative movement, watercolor, and journaling to allow for multi-dimensional expression that can lead to a transformative personal experience. The workshop ends with a nutritious catered lunch.
